He lived in Miletus around the same time as Thales and Anaximander. His belief was that our world is one of the myriads of the worlds that evolve and dissolve in boundless[1]. However, it is not clear what he meant from boundless. Perhaps, something fundamental of which the world is made of, in which before and after the existence the world dissolves into.
