He believed that the world is made of a fundamental unit, Atom, which can not be divided further. The variety of objects and being in the world are made of different arrangements of the fundamental atoms. These atoms have no color and taste, which are the result of sensual interaction with atoms. This idea of atom here is very similar to modern physics.
