Surprisingly, very similar ideas—maybe there is even a connection through Kalanos?—to Indian philosophy especially Upanishads, a group of texts of ancient Indian philosophy. In modern times the readers of Meditations by Marcus Aurealius, I think, can feel a very similar vibe to the Hindu epic Bhagwad Gita.
